Frequently Asked Questions

SHOULD I HIRE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER?
The burden of proof is entirely up to you!Insurance policies can be very long, complicated and full of legal language. They are full of small conditions, restrictions and limitations that can often be hidden under very technical and jargon fill language. Exact conditions must be met in order for your insurance company to issue you a check otherwise your claim could be denied or severely reduced. A public adjuster can step in and make sure that you have the proper conditions and proof of those conditions to maximize your claim return and get your rebuilding process under way.

WHY DO I NEED A PUBLIC ADJUSTER?
In today’s complicated world, specialty professions are becoming more and more a necessary. Most people are extremely busy with their everyday life and do not have the time to deal with the intricacies of putting a claim together and bringing it to fruition. Perhaps the best analogy would be that few people would ever appear in court representing themselves against experts in matters of law; therefore, it stands that you would not fair well representing yourself against experts in matters of insurance. Particularly when the threat of a coverage dispute leading to a denied insurance claim can be disastrous.

WHY DO I NEED YOUR COMPANY TO ASSIST IN FILING A CLAIM?
We require that all our public adjuster employees take an extensive one-year class and become certified forensics damage experts. This will enable them to determine actual damage from normal wear and tear. We are also experts in filing and handling insurance claims and are familiar with the processes that come with filing a large or even small insurance claim. We are an expert advocate that is on your side. We can meet with your insurance company, speak their language and make sure that you are getting the money you need to make repairs to your home or business.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PUBLIC ADJUSTER AND AN INSURANCE COMPANY/INDEPENDENT ADJUSTER?
A public adjuster represents the interests of a policy holder and will research a policy to maximize your damage recovery. An insurance company adjuster represents the insurance company and has no legal duty to advise you on how to maximize your benefits under your policy.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GET A PUBLIC ADJUSTER INVOLVED?
The best time to contact a public adjuster is as soon as the claim happens. We have resources available to comply with policy conditions and begin the mitigation and protection process of property immediately. This eliminates the possibility of failing to comply with policy conditions, which can be used to diminish, dispute, even deny a claim. Don’t let an insurance claim problem destroy everything you’ve worked so hard for.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SETTLE MY CLAIM?
Negotiation time can range from a few days to a few months, it really depends on how efficient your insurance company is. During this process our office staff will contact them almost daily by phone and e-mail to check the status of your claim, and to ensure that they are working on it steadily. Notes and status updates are recorded in our library of files, where you can login and see what’s happening with your claim.

HOW ARE PUBLIC ADJUSTERS COMPENSATED?
Public Adjusters charge a small percentage of this settlement. This percentage is paid by the insured only after payment is received from the insurance company. This fee is offset by securing an appropriate settlement in excess of what the average insured can obtain for himself. IF THERE IS NO RECOVERY, THERE IS NO FEE!!
